Who is responsible
Navigator Egypt, trading as Hurghada Diving, is responsible for information submitted through hurghada-diving.tours. We operate from El-Thalateen Street, Hurghada, Red Sea, Egypt. Until a booking is confirmed, the service provider that will fulfil it may not yet be assigned. Its identity and any relevant terms will be disclosed before a deposit is requested.
Privacy requests can be sent to info@hurghada-diving.tours or through the contact page.
Information we collect
A booking request may include your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, hotel, requested date and time, participant numbers, selected extras, notes, language, currency and booking history. For a course request, we may also ask for date of birth, swimming comfort, current certification and last dive date.
Do not put diagnoses, medication details, passport numbers or payment-card data in the notes. We do not collect medical answers in this form; any official diving medical declaration is handled separately when required.
- Technical security logs may include IP address, browser, time and requested page.
- Currency and trip-plan preferences are stored locally in your browser.
- The private booking-status link uses a random access token; only its cryptographic hash is stored in the database.
Why we use it
We use the information to answer enquiries, check availability and suitability, calculate the request, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, contact you, prepare the requested service and maintain operational and security records.
The usual grounds are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a confirmed agreement, meeting legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. Where consent is specifically requested, it may be withdrawn for future processing.
Sharing and external services
Access is limited to authorised staff and, when needed to fulfil a confirmed service, the assigned dive operator, instructor, guide, boat or transfer provider. We may also use hosting, database and technical providers acting for us, or disclose information when law requires it.
Choosing a WhatsApp link sends you to Meta's service. The homepage video is embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, but Google may still receive device and connection data when the player loads or you interact with it. Those providers apply their own policies and may process data outside your country.
Analytics and consent
The Google tag loads with analytics and advertising storage denied by default. Before you accept analytics, it does not write analytics cookies; Google may receive consent-state and cookieless technical signals. If accepted, Analytics helps us understand page visits, navigation and general device information so we can improve the website and booking journey. Advertising storage, ad-user data and ad personalisation remain disabled.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser. You can change or withdraw it at any time through Analytics settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future consented analytics collection on this website.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, booking, service, safety and accounting records, dispute handling and legal obligations. It is then deleted or anonymised where appropriate. Retention can vary by record and applicable law.
We use access controls, hashed booking tokens, validation and other reasonable safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your private booking-status link confidential and tell us if you believe it has been exposed.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on it and complain to the competent data-protection authority.
An adult should make the booking request. We only request limited participant details for children where needed to assess age eligibility and organise the activity. We do not knowingly invite children to submit requests independently.
