Hurghada dive sites

Two exposed coral pinnacles rising from deep water northeast of Hurghada. Clear water, dense hard coral and the chance of larger pelagic life make this a standout site when sea and current conditions are suitable.

A long reef north of Hurghada with a shallow plateau, coral blocks and a gradual drop-off. It is a dependable choice for relaxed dives and a good place to look for moray eels, lionfish and rays along the sand.

A compact coral island often called the Aquarium for its busy marine life. Sheltered sections, sandy patches and gentle depths make it one of Hurghada's most rewarding sites for newer divers, while the outer reef keeps experienced divers interested.

A remote island site with a dramatic wall, coral pinnacles and deeper water close to the reef. Its topography and occasional current suit confident certified divers, with shallower options available when conditions allow.

A sheltered southern reef with a sandy bottom and scattered coral formations. Its manageable depth and generally easy conditions make it useful for check dives, courses and unhurried reef exploration.

A compact military wreck resting close to Hurghada harbour. The exterior offers a focused wreck dive with marine growth and schooling fish; depth, limited visibility and boat traffic make it best for suitably certified divers.

A calm lagoon and sloping reef near Giftun, known for easy navigation and bright coral gardens. The protected setting works well for training dives and relaxed certified diving, with dolphins sometimes seen in the wider area.

Giftun's steep walls and coral-covered slopes offer classic Red Sea scenery. Depending on conditions, dives can combine a gentle drift with sheltered reef sections and a broad range of depths.
